May 2021 and writing!

Well, I was going to sign up for the Summer SCBWI Conference except I don't think fifteen minutes is enough time for each webinar. There were several of great people but I don't like to be rushed from one webinar to the next. Since I can't send anyone work unless they tell you in the webinar than I'm not going to worry about it this year. I am going to keep revising, critiquing, pitching on twitter and focus on my craft at this time to make it better by reading books and free webinars. I just don't have the money to keep throwing away. I've been writing for three years now. I'm ready to be at a point in my life where I consistently query and hope for an agent. I still have writing books I haven't finished reading and I'm trying nonfiction this year. I never finished a MG online class I signed up for over a year ago. I need to finish that soon. I feel like the market wants cultural, food, humor and diversity. I don't think publishers are looking for a lot of commercial or animal stories. SO, I need to start thinking outside the box.
